Apr. 13 (Fri.) North JeffCo Gem and Mineral Club Gem Silent Auction.  APEX Community Recreation Center, 6842 Wadsworth Blvd, Arvada, CO. Jewelry, gemstones, mineral specimens, craftwork, and rock-craft equipment may be available for sale. Event begins at 6:45 pm, checkout starts about 9:15 pm. No early checkout. Apri. 20-22 Colorado Mineral and Fossil Spring Show. Ramada Plaza Hotel (formerly the Holiday Inn), 4849 Bannock St, Denver, CO 80216 (frontage road on west side of I-25, north of I-70. Free admission and parking. 10-6 Fri. & Sat., 10-5 Sun.

May 5 (Sat.)  Colorado Mineral Society Silent Auction. Holy Shepherd Lutheran Church, 920 Kipling St. (3 blocks north of 6th Ave.), Lakewood, CO.  11-3.  All are invited to attend.

May 5-6  Crystal Specimen Sale by Ray Berry. 7513 Tudor Road (I-25 ext 149), Colorado Springs, CO. Longtime mineral collector Ray Berry has a large collection of smoky quartz, amazonite, and related minerals from the Crystal Peak area. Hours: 9-4. Info: 719-598-7877.  

May 12 (Sat.)  Friends of Mineralogy, Colorado Chapter Silent Auction. Clements Community Center, 1580 Yarrow St., Lakewood CO (just NW of  Colfax & Wadsworth). 12-3. All are invited to come.

June 16 (Sat.) – GEOdyssey's Annual Mineral & Fossil Home Sale, 15339 West Ellsworth Drive, Golden, CO 80401. (Directions: from west 6th Avenue, exit onto Indiana Street and go south on Indiana. Drive into Mesa View Estates. Turn right at the first street (McIntyre Circle) and right at the next street (Ellsworth Drive). We are about midway down the street on the left..) 9-3. A wide variety of individual specimens and low-priced flats will be available. All specimens are a minimum of 10% off, with bigger discounts for volume purchases. Feb 9-12 – Tucson Gem and Mineral Show. Tucson Convention Center, Tucson, AZ.  “Minerals of Arizona”.

March

Mar 23-25 – Fort Collins Rockhounds 51st Annual Club Gem and Mineral Show. The Ranch in the Thomas M. McKee 4-H building, Larimer County Fairgrounds, 5280 Arena Circle, Loveland, CO.  Fri. 4-8, Sat. 9-6, Sun. 10-5. This year’s exhibits feature Fossils and Quartz. Demonstrations including lapidary and wire wrapping will be presented throughout the weekend. Door prizes, mineral specimen grab bag sales and the silent auction are ongoing. Gem and mineral dealers sell everything from rockhounding equipment and ore-grade specimens to fine jewelry and stone beads.. Adults $4 daily or $7/3-day pass, 12-18 $1 w/ student ID, under 12 free w/adult. Info.: Show Chairman, 970-493-6168.
