Apr. 6-7 – Hands of Spirit's 16th Annual Spring
Mineral and Jewelry Open House. 11-5. You're sure to find an
incredible selection of the finest crystal and mineral specimens, stone
carvings, and a lovely selection of jewelry. Refreshments will be served. Call

Apr. 11 (Thurs.) – Flatirons Mineral
Club Annual Silent Auction. West Boulder Senior Center, 909
Arapahoe Ave, Boulder, CO. (Just west of the Boulder Main Public Library,
suggested overflow parking is to use the main library parking lot) 7-9, setup
starts at 6:05. Free admission, free parking. All are
welcome. Come to buy, come to sell, come to schmooze and snack. Food, fun,
competition, commerce, and rocks—who could ask for more?
April 12 (Fri.) – North Jeffco
Gem & Mineral Club Silent Auction of Minerals, Gems, etc.
APEX Community Center, 6842 Wadsworth Blvd., Arvada, CO. Setup begins at
5:30, auction starts at 6:45. Buy or sell mineral specimens, fossils, cutting
materials, finished stones, jewelry, books, crafts, tools, and baked goods.
Free refreshments, free parking, free admission. Come check out our silent
auction, buy or sell items and have an evening of fun. You can download and
print your own bid sheets at home

Feb. 14-17 – Tucson Gem and Mineral
Show. Tucson Convention Center,
Tucson, AZ. held
every year on the second full weekend of February. It has set the standard for
gem and mineral shows around the world and is now the largest gem and mineral
show in the United States. The show is open to the public and presents retail
dealers only, although many wholesale dealers set up shop in surrounding venues.
This year’s show theme is “Fluorite, Colors of the Rainbow.”
Feb. 18-22 (Mon.-Fri.) – Annual Book Sale. , at two locations on the Colorado School
of Mines Campus, Golden CO.
(1) Arthur Lakes Library, 1400
Illinois St. 9–4 daily. Day 1 prices are
$10 for hardcovers, $5 for softcovers, and $2 for maps; prices for remaining

Silent Auction for more valuable items will be held on Monday, Feb. 18,

(2) CSM Geology Museum, 1310 Maple
St. 9–4 daily. Books and “garage sale”’ books, journals, maps, plus some
specimens, equipment, etc. with a focus on geology and minerals. Prices will be
