Bob Amick, Assistant Crew Advisor

Bob Amick is the First Assistant Advisor of our Post. He has been in Scouting and later Exploring since he was nine, and earned his Eagle Scout Award. As a youth he attended two National Scout Jamborees and several Exploring Conferences. He is very active in the Order of the Arrow, and Alpha Phi Omega, National Scouting Service Fraternity at the University of Colorado where he presently serves on the chapter advisory board. He has been or still is a Scoutmaster, Assistant Scoutmaster, or Explorer Advisor. He has taken high adventure Exploring trips to Mexico for SCUBA and the Green River in Utah for whitewater canoeing. He is his District's Exploring Chairman and his Council's Exploring Training Chairman. He has served on the staff of National Exploring Conferences since 1984 and on the staff of the 1990 National Law Enforcement Explorer Conference. He attended World Jamborees in 1967, 1983, 1987-88, and 1995 as either a Troop Leader or staff member. He has served as a Medical Technician on Sub-camp staffs at our National Jamborees since 1973. He is a certified Emergency Medical Technician and CPR instructor. (This is great since I haven't progressed past using Band-Aids.) When not occupied in Scouting, he is the manager of Communications for the University of Colorado Police Department. His special interests include emergency management, photography, video production, SCUBA diving, and computers.
