Sarah Myers
Sarah Myers came to Boulder, Colorado in November of 1997, excited about
the possiblities for Japan-related experiences. Before coming to
Boulder, she spent three and a half years in Fukuoka, Japan teaching
conversational English. She also became an avid Japanese student.
Through self-study, helpful friends, and the perfect classroom -Japan
itself- she was able to pass level 2 of the Japanese proficiency test
for foreigners. She returned last year to enter CU Boulder's Japanese
teacher certification program, to become a high-school Japanese teacher
in the US.
Sarah is also a tour leader with Red Hot Rocky Mountain
adventures, a Denver-based company that offers outdoor tours and
excursions in Colorado for Japanese clientelle. She keeps busy
studying Japanese, maintaining contact with friends in Japan, and
singing with the Boulder chorale. To all those out there who have a
fascination with Japan, she says: "Mi ni itte kudasai!" Go and see
