News and Projects from Boulder/Yamagata Friendship Committee Yamagata Delegation coming to Boulder for the Fourth of July! April 26, 1999 The focus of the meeting was preparation for a delegation of about 50 people coming to Boulder from Yamagata to celebrate the fourth of July with us. You may recall that the Yamagata Taiko drummers played in Folsom Stadium a few years ago. Mayor Sato will be the delegation leader. We also expect three officers from the City of Yamagata and four Yamagata City Council Members. The rest of the group will be from the community. The group will arrive on July 2nd and depart on July 5th. I'm sure that we are all motivated to do what we can to make their visit to Boulder as wonderful as our visits to Yamagata.
