ITINERARY (tentative) for the Yamagata
Delegation
A delegation of about
50 people
coming to Boulder from Yamagata to celebrate the fourth of July with us.
You may recall that the Yamagata Taiko drummers played in Folsom Stadium
a few years ago.
Mayor Sato will be the delegation leader. We also expect three
officers from the City of Yamagata and four Yamagata City Council
Members. The rest of the group will be from the community. The group
will arrive on July 2nd and depart on July 5th. I'm sure that we are all
motivated to do what we can to make their visit to Boulder as wonderful
as our visits to Yamagata.
Please reserve these dates so you can spend holiday/celebration time with
our guests.
- Friday, July 2, 3:49 PM - Arrive at Denver Airport
(We invite everyone who can come to the airport and greet our guests.)
- Saturday, July 3, 4:00 PM
(Celebration of the 5th year anniversary of the Boulder/Yamagata Sister
City at the Dushanbe Tea House.)
- Sunday, July 4, 4:00 PM
(Picnic Supper at Chautauqua Park followed by the 4th of July
celebration at Folsom Field.)
- Monday, July 5, 12:40 PM
(Our guests will depart DIA for New York City.)
