Prototype Background

This is a prototype demo of how open standards like Z39.50 and the World Wide Web can provide innovative solutions for libraries, as proposed in a grant to ACLIN (Access Colorado Library and Information Network) from the Department of Education.

It would not have been possible without the kind help of Thorn Roby of CARL corporation, Kevin Gamiel of CNIDR (Clearinghouse for Networked Information Discovery and Retrieval, pronounced Snider), the staff of the Boulder Public Library and Neal McBurnett
