The 13th Annual Elephant Rock Cycling Adventure will take place on June 4, 2000 in Castle Rock, Colorado. Offering road and off-road rides from 10 to 100 miles, the Elephant Rock attracts 6500 riders from all over Colorado and the surrounding states. After the ride, cyclists relax with a BBQ Lunch, music, kid's bike races, liquid refreshments, the ERock Expo, and demonstrations by our sponsors cycling teams. Join us at the 2000 Elephant Rock, for the unofficial start to the cycling season here in Colorado.

West One Group's 6th annual Starlight Spectacular
will be held on June 25th @ 2:30 am.
It's a 14 mile ride thru Colorado Springs, Starting @ the Garden of the
Gods Visitor Center, winding it's way thru downtown & the Westside,
ending in a dawn ride thru the Garden of the Gods and a pancake
breakfast @ the Visitor Center. It's a benefit for the Trails & Open
Space Coalition and attracted 475 riders last year. It's a great time
for all !

The San Francisco bike movement/protest ride is in Denver. Come join the nationwide movement. Let's get some bike lanes put in the streets of Denver and increase bicycle awareness.
The ride is the last Friday of every Month and meets at Civic Center Park (across from the Capital, near the seal fountain pool on the Colfax side of the park) The ride begins at 6:00 pm and will go through downtown Denver and end up at Auraria Campus.
The Denver Post Ride The Rockies is an annual bicycle tour that takes 2,000 cyclists on a 6-7 day ride on paved roads through Colorado's Rocky Mountains each June.
The Ride The Rockies route is different each year, but always climbs a few challenging mountain passes and showcases Colorado's spectacular scenery. Daily rides can be as short as 35 miles or as long as 100 miles, but generally average 60-65 miles.
Registration for Ride The Rockies is conducted on a lottery basis. Route and registration information for this year's ride will be available February 4.
2000 Ride The Rockies registration fee cost $215, and included camping space, rest rooms, and showers, transportation of one bag during the tour, Ride The Rockies cycling jersey, water bottle, tour map book, aid stations, bike repair vans, sag vehicles and medical support on the tour route.

Discover fall in the cowboy state, as WYCYC Fall Roundup heads out September 16 - 21, 2001, following the same scenic route through the best that Wyoming offers, but bedding down in quiet motels to enjoy the crisp evening temperatures.
The 20th annual Great Arizona Bicycle Adventure is set for October! As usual the ride will take on an international flair. riders from Canada and Europe are already signed up for the 20th tour, as well as from Minnesota, Colorado, California and New York. Local registrations are in from all over Arizona. Even though the tour is limited to 200 riders, there's still time to get your registration in. With the new route, you'll enjoy 7 days of riding through Southern Arizona starting and ending in Tucson. The pre-ride check-in is on Saturday October 7th, and the farewell banquet will be held on October 14th with lots of great riding in between!
Cost is $450.00 per rider, which includes all evening meals, camping each night , well supplied daily food/ rest stops along the route, commemorative jersey, socks and more. Pay before 7/1/2000 and save $25.00. Space will be limited so sign up early.

Join us this summer for 150 miles of Colorado scenery, camaraderie and caring with the MS 150 Bike Tour. "Go for the Gorge" and experience a fully supported tour that will take you from Highlands Ranch to Colorado Springs the first day and to Canon City the second day via the Royal Gorge. The Courage Classic is a three day, two night bicycle pledge tour, rolling through 155 miles of Colorado's most scenic mountain byways. This superbly organized tour is designed to offer each participant a first class riding experience by offering full rider support including technical support, sag wagons, aid stations and marshals. In addition, the tour supplies hearty meals, luggage transfer to individual hotels, and clean camping and shower facilities.
Join your fellow riders at the 6th Annual Fruita Fat Tire Festival. Experience the world famous "Kokopelli Trail" and the majestic "Bookcliffs" whose trailheads are just minutes from the festival headquarters. Prepare to enjoy the spectacular scenery of high desert, canyonlands, slickrock and the Colorado River Basin, which surround the countryside of Fruita, CO.
Festival events are open to all registered participants. Riding at your own pace is encouraged; an area trail map will be furnished. Local volunteer guides will conduct group rides and rides/times will be posted at the Festival Headquarters in Civic Center Park. Difficulty and pace ratings will be posted for all rides. Ride all day, or night , choose a few events, or customize your weekend with a little bit of everything available. Participants may take part in a chili feed, night rides, Saturday night party, The Spirit of the Rockies Mountain Bike Race Series "The Vegetarian" and rides, rides, rides!

Come with us on Santa Fe's 16th Annual Century Ride. A hundred miles of history pass under your wheels as you cycle down the ancient Turquoise Trail through the old mining towns of Madrid and Golden, across the mineral rich Ortiz and San Pedro Mountains, across the Estancia Valley through the villages of Cedar Grove and Stanley and on to the very old but now "IN" village of Galisteo, and 100 miles after you start, wheel back into Old Santa Fe. In addition there are 25, 50, & 75 miles "out and back" to Eldorado, Galisteo, and Stanley respectively. Also, there is an easy 50 mile ATB loop with only 6 miles of country dirt road.
A road ride from Evergreen Colorado to Vail over Squaw (11,140), Loveland (11,990), and Vail (10,560) passes for a total of 117 miles and more than 10,000 feet of lung-busting gain in elevation!

Join us for the 7th Annual Road Ramble to benefit the Emily Griffith Center on Sunday August 27, 2000. This inspiring ride begins and ends at the Emily Griffith Center Ranch in Larkspur just south of Castle Rock. What is a Brevet? An ultra-marathon, RAAM-style event conducted under the auspices of the International Randonneurs. Distances must be completed within a specified time limit, and checkpoints and some night riding can be invoved.
