Summit Middle School recently was nominated by the Colorado Department of Education to submit an application for the national Blue Ribbon Schools Award, which is presented annually by the U.S. Department of Education. Five Colorado schools were invited to submit applications. Summit was the only Colorado middle school chosen.
Summit was nominated in the category of consistently high-achieving schools. Winners are announced in May.
