Desired Outcome: to discuss possible topics and decide whether to survey City Club members re topics, locations, time, etc. and to have some VOLUNTEERS from the committee. Bring your ideas to the meeting. Action items by end of meeting. * From last meeting; breakfasts should have scientific bent; Washington County good location for high tech breakfast (Greenwood Inn used in prior years); check American Electronics Association meeting on 9/16 for possible topics; Dr. Don and cloning (Oregon Primate Center); earthquakes--geologists versus engineers; neuroscience, the brain, and effects of drugs, alcohol, and aging. (whence the expression a "no brainer"); speaking of alcohol, the Wine Industry (perhaps a wine tasting). ** Some questions: Should we have a membership survey at several Friday lunches (or as part of mailing) as to topics, etc.? Should we have a common theme for all four programs?
