I first ran across the creative "404 File not found" error message below when I surfed to a missing web page at the School of Mines in June of 2003. That site displays different error page texts on a random basis.

This is in the voice of Marvin, the paranoid android, a character from Douglas Adams' "Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy." It made my day.... It takes about 3 minutes to play out. Use your browser's "View/Page Source" command to see the full text or see how to do this yourself.
