The Annual Meeting of the Boulder Chorale will be held on MONDAY, May 8, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in their Jubilee Hall (lower level). It includes our usual end-of-the-season festivities, a pot luck supper, recognition of honorees, and the annual business meeting, which includes the election of Board members. Please let JoAn or Elsbeth know if you might be interested in a Board position.

From Stephanie Wanek, Fundraising Chair:
*WE PUT THE CHALLENGE FORWARD AND YOU MADE IT HAPPEN!!
Thanks to all the nominations from you, and everyone you sent the email to, Precision Plumbing has awarded the Boulder Chorale $1,000 as the Boulder county non-profit beneficiary in January 2006!! Now that’s teamwork, THANK YOU.
*REWARD SNACK! The donation from Precision Plumbing is a terrific fundraising bonus and we promised you a reward. Please accept the thanks of all the Board and enjoy cookies and sweets served from the kitchen during the break.
FINAL VALENTINES DAY SALE! Still need a gift for a special friend? Sharon Soderlund will be selling her hand-made glass hearts this week during break. Stop by the table to see her selection.
*SPRINGTIME CARDS: For a complete schedule of concerts and events in this 40th year, look for the stack of big bright yellow cards available every week starting this week. Designed by our graphic designer Julie Hale, this card has been sent out to over 600 friends and supporters to build up excitement and BUILD OUR AUDIENCES THIS SPRING!! Take a bunch and hand them or send them to your friends. See FILL THE HOUSE below!
LAST DAY TO SIGN UP FOR A CABARET NUMBER AT THE GALA!
This is your final opportunity to perform a song with the jazz quintet at the gala dinner. Any interested members have until this rehearsal, February 14th to identify yourself and indicate the song you’d like to perform. The final selection of about 6 singers will follow auditions held at Atonement on Saturday, March 11th between 10am-12pm. A sign-up sheet will be available from Laura Meyers during break.
WANT MORE GALA INFORMATION? February newsletters are chock full of information about the April 30th affair including information on how you can earn free gala tickets. Community Birthday Card packs will be available in the next 2 weeks.
ANOTHER GRANT: Thanks to the terrific work of Josephine Bynder and the whole Grants Committee, the Boulder Chorale was awarded a $2,500 grant from the Boulder Arts Commission to fund our 40th Anniversary Concert at Macky.
FILL THE HOUSE. As you know, our 40th anniversary concert is on May 6th at Macky Auditorium. Our goal is to FILL THE HOUSE. We’ll need your help in getting the community excited to share in this occasion.

From Josephine Bynder, Grants Committee Chair: CALLING ALL IBMers!
Jan Wierzba, IBM alumna, has offered to prepare a grant request to IBM for the Chorale. She believes that if the request comes from multiple employees/alumni it has greater chance of success. If you are a member of the IBM "family" please contact Jan at rehearsal or @303-652-2174. Also, if any of you work for a company that does funding for non-profits, please contact Josephine Bynder (303-444-0256) or Stephanie Wanek (303-545-9677) to discuss whether we might apply for funding to your company.

Chorale Group Photo
Several members have asked if copies of the group photo taken last fall will be available for purchase. They are available and can be ordered through Sharon Soderlund. Please call her to order at 303 494-9459. The 8" x 10" color photos are $5.00 each.

Please refrain from wearing/using scents in the group. Some members are very sensitive and can become ill. Thank you for your consideration.
*****************************************************
Grocery Scrip will be on sale during the break. Scrip acts like cash at King Soopers grocery stores and by buying Scrip, you help support the Chorale!

From Judy Fritz, Chorale Member:
Anyone who has United Mileage Plus and has not received credit for the concert tour to Austria last summer can contact me. I may have found a solution to the problem, which is apparently due in part to our original flight home having been cancelled.
