From Stephanie Wanek, Fundraising Chair:
GALA INVITATIONS ARE COMING!! We need your help assembling, stuffing, labeling, stamping and sealing 1,000 invitations. The fun starts next Tuesday 3/21 at 5:15 until we're done!! Please come early to rehearsal and lend a hand in the assembly line.
NEED A HAND WITH A GALA TICKET? The avenue for members to receive free gala tickets is the Birthday Card incentive program. Grab 3 envelopes and get 3 businesses, stores or individuals to submit a birthday message on the Community Card and you've earned a free ticket.
BIRTHDAY CARD: We need your participation to make this effort a success. You’ll find envelopes in the lobby with info for potential contributors. In addition, you can find lists of businesses already being contacted and ideas of other businesses you can approach. For $40 dollars, companies can support our fine organization and their business gets a 4 x 6 inch advertisement space. So it’s community goodwill as well as great exposure.
TALLY: Community Birthday Card Messages received to date: 7 (as of 3/12/06).
CHECK OUT THE DAILY CAMERA: Thanks to the Daily Camera's sponsorship of our 40th anniversary events, we will run a series of ads and hope to grow our audiences (FILL THE HOUSE!). Look carefully in the Friday Section on 3/17 for the first major ad. Thank Julie for the terrific design.

On March 18th, I will have my head shaved at the "St. Baldrick's Day" fundraiser for pediatric cancer research, to show solidarity with child cancer victims and to raise money for the Children's Oncology Group. To sponsor me, go to www.stbaldricks.org, click on "Make a Donation", and search for me. I will be available at the March 14 rehearsal break for questions and donations.
*****************************************************
Boulder Dinner Theatre: Just a reminder for those of you who have tickets. Our group will attend The King and I on Sunday, March 19. Be at the theatre at 6:15. See you there for an enjoyable evening.

WOMEN'S CONCERT DRESS ORDERS:
Just a reminder to new women members to get your orders in to Concert Black ASAP so that you have plenty of time to make alterations or exchanges, if needed, before your April concert. Please contact Karen with any questions (303-442-7370 or haimes1@aol.com).

From Chorale Member, Miki Magyar:
I found an excellent web site with a translation and pronunciation guide for the Mozart Vespers. I think this would be helpful to many of the Chorale members. Please check it out.

From Paul Haynes, Music Librarian: REVISED BILLS
Because of our concert program change for May 2006, everyone has received revised bills. We are asking that you pay the amount on the bill by 3/14. Give your check to Jeff Hale (treasurer) or mail it to Treasurer, Boulder Chorale, 685 Inca Parkway, Boulder, CO, 80303.
Thank you for your patience with this process.
-- Paul Haynes, sheet music librarian
p.s. ... Regarding the Brahms requiem: The Chorale Board is hoping that you will see fit to keep this sheet music in anticipation of performing it in 2007. However, if you feel the need to return the Brahms for a credit, please bring your "bill" and your "Brahms" to me (Paul Haynes) at break time or after rehearsal. I will be standing at the kitchen counter and we can complete this adjustment. I will be available for this purpose from now until 3/14.

Please refrain from wearing/using scents in the group. Some members are very sensitive and can become ill. Thank you for your consideration.
*****************************************************
Grocery Scrip will be on sale during the break. Scrip acts like cash at King Soopers grocery stores and by buying Scrip, you help support the Chorale!
****************************************************
The Annual Meeting of the Boulder Chorale will be held on MONDAY, May 8, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in their Jubilee Hall (lower level). It includes our usual end-of-the-season festivities, a pot luck supper, recognition of honorees, and the annual business meeting, which includes the election of Board members. Please let JoAn or Elsbeth know if you might be interested in a Board position.
