NEXT WEEK!!! Tickets will be on sale for the WOMEN'S CHORALE World Music Concert which takes place on Friday, April 28. Tickets will be available at 4 rehearsals (April 4th,11th,18th and 25th), at our 4 ticket vendors (see website) and at the door--if they are not sold out! Proceeds from your sales will be due back at rehearsal on the 25th.

Please come prepared next week with the number of tickets you'll want to check out--before they're all gone! These ladies are popular, the venue only holds around 300 and there are guest performers from Niwot High School women choirs joining in this concert, who will also be buying tickets!

From Stephanie Wanek, Fundraising Chair:

INVITATIONS: Grab one or grab many! We have plenty of invites and encourage you ALL to come to the April 30th Gala. Bring a friend! We are asking for RSVP's to be returned by 4/24 so we have an accurate headcount.

THE GALA: Our goal is to be surrounded by 250 people at this gala evening celebrating our 40th anniversary at the St. Julien Hotel. We hope you all plan on attending and bringing a few special friends. It’ll be a fun night with great jazz, good food, a champagne toast, a few surprises, the Community Birthday Card and entertainment by your fellow Chorale members! Remember it doesn’t have to cost you a thing if you approach 3 businesses for birthday card messages….

BIRTHDAY CARD: Our goal is to collect 100 messages and we need YOUR help to make this effort a success. In the lobby area, you’ll find envelopes with info for potential contributors. In addition, you can find lists of businesses already being contacted and ideas of other businesses you can approach. For $40 dollars, companies can support our fine organization and their business gets a 4.25 x 5.5 inch advertisement space. So it’s community goodwill as well as great exposure.

TALLY: Community Birthday Card Messages received to date: 15 (as of 3/25/06)

FILL THE HOUSE WITH A JOYOUS CHORUS!! A huge part of our success lies on our ability to fill our concerts with an audience. The next concert is the Women’s Chorale on April 28th and of course the Anniversary Concert on May 6th. How thrilling would it be to sing to a full house at Macky!!

WOMEN'S CONCERT DRESS ORDERS:

Just a reminder to new women members to get your orders in to Concert Black ASAP so that you have plenty of time to make alterations or exchanges, if needed, before your April concert. Please contact Karen with any questions (303-442-7370 or haimes1@aol.com).

From Chorale Member, Miki Magyar:

I found an excellent web site with a translation and pronunciation guide for the Mozart Vespers. I think this would be helpful to many of the Chorale members. Please check it out.

Please refrain from wearing/using scents in the group. Some members are very sensitive and can become ill. Thank you for your consideration.

Grocery Scrip will be on sale during the break. Scrip acts like cash at King Soopers grocery stores and by buying Scrip, you help support the Chorale!

It includes our usual end-of-the-season festivities, a pot luck supper, recognition of honorees, and the annual business meeting, which includes the election of Board members.
