Dear Chorale Members,
Here are the announcements for this week. You can email any questions or comments to me. Thank you very much,

From Karen Haimes, Concert Dress Committee:
WOMEN: For those of you who have not yet returned your too-large skirts, you can bring them to rehearsal tomorrow, Oct 18 and the following Tues, Oct 25. Look for a container to place them in, in the lobby area. I will then mail them back, in bulk, to Concert Black. You will still need to initiate the re-order directly with Concert Black on your own, however, either by phone call or email.

CHRISTMAS CAROLING AT THE ST. JULIEN HOTEL: The Chorale is performing holiday songs & carols at the St. Julien Hotel on Fri., 12/2 @ 5:30, Sat., 12/3 @ 7:30 (following the Boulder Lights of December Parade), and Sat., 12/17 @ 6:00. Please complete a card indicating your availability for these performances so Tim can build groups of singers for each date.
**************************************
ANNUAL FUND BROCHURES are available in the lobby.
This is the Chorale's annual giving campaign and it is an important source of revenue for us. Please take one and pass it on and help us meet our financial goals.

VOLUNTEERS! Stephanie (fundraising chair) has begun the rough plans for the Spring Gala tentatively set for April 30th, 2006 at the St. Julien Hotel!! This event will be a festive gathering of current and former Chorale members and the many supporters of the Chorale to celebrate our 40th Anniversary!! Please send an email to Stephanie at smwanek@yahoo.com to indicate whether you would volunteer to sit on a steering committee and help out. Please!! It's really important to take this big job, talk about what we want and then break it up into small chunks. Once I get some response I'll set up a meeting and perhaps then meet once a month to get things moving and organized. THANK YOU!
***************************************
ALUMNI PROJECT: Thank you for taking sheets of former Chorale members and looking up current addresses! There are still sheets left. Please take another one if you have time. Completed sheets can go into the Alumni Box in the Office. THANK YOU.
****************************************
CABARET: Mark your calendars for January 14th at The Dairy and join us for our first major fundraising evening; a Cabaret evening featuring our very own diva, Kim Needham performing a collection of jazz songs, ballads & arias. Bring your friends and share an evening of laughter and fun! More details will be in upcoming newsletters.

From Miriam Lindahl, Concert Manager: I will be in the Marketplace to sell CDs from $3.00-$15.00. Please check it out.
The buses to Denver (one each night) sold out immediately. A few singers need to turn in their $$$$. If you have any questions, I will do my best to help.
Greg and I thank you for such an overwhelmingly enthusiastic response! Flyers with the information will be out the first Tuesday in November.
Finally, next Tuesday, 25 October and the following Tuesday, 1 November, SIGNUPS FOR THE RISER CREW AND USHERS WILL BE POSTED. (The riser crew and ushers are in place at Congregation Emanuel.) We need ushers and riser crew for the gig at First United Methodist only.
Kindly check your calendars to work on Thursday, 10 November and Sunday, 13 November in Boulder. The riser queen had great crews last year---and expects the same. Cool prizes for the riser crew at the Christmas potluck and a ‘comp’ ticket for the ushers--------just like last year. Questions or comments cheerfully fielded at the Marketplace. Thanks so much.

For those who don't have access to a piano and would like an alternative to rehearse at home, Hammond Music Service makes song learning CDs. They cost $17/per CD.
Hammond is in the process of converting their library from tape to CD, so for those who are performing "The Lark", that CD will be available by early October. To order, call 800-628-0855, or go to their website at www.songlearning.com.
