From Karen Haimes, Concert Dress Committee Chair:
For All Chorale Women:
ALTERATIONS--
Each person is responsible for making and/or paying for her own alterations.
Acceptable and expected alterations include: hemming the skirt or pants so that they are 2 inches from the floor with shoes on and hemming sleeves to attain a comfortable wrist-length.
Any other alterations should be made so as to not interrupt the uniform appearance of the group as viewed from the audience. Alterations that result in changing the original lines of the clothing-such as a different neckline, obvious darts, additional seams, changing skirt and pant widths or creating visible bulges-will stand out.
Please keep in mind that our primary goal in establishing consistent concert apparel is to not draw attention away from the sounds we’re creating. In keeping with this goal, the concert dress committee reserves the right to prohibit any aberrant alterations. It is advisable, then, to contact the concert dress chair prior to having alterations completed which may result in the types of changes listed above.
Thanks for your cooperation in this!

If you are interested, please e-mail JoAn at jsegalvv@earthlink.net and she'll enlighten you about position duties. Much of the work is done by our wonderful administrator Erin, and we have one helper already, so it is not an onerous task.

We're collecting items for Ebay Tuesday night from 5:30 to 9:00. Thanks to all of you for bringing in donations. It's a very simple process. When you arrive, there will be Ebay tables and boxes set up in the lobby. For each item you donate, please complete a YELLOW form. This will provide item information for the fellows at Ebay as they sell it. The completed YELLOW form should taped to your item and will stay with your item. The item and form can then be deposited in the Ebay boxes on the tables. You can also complete a WHITE form which is your deductible donation receipt for your taxes. Thanks again!!
