Messe Solennelle

The 30 year old Boulder Chorale is a non-auditioned group welcoming all singers. Its Winter concert of French sacred pieces at First United Methodist Church had the pews filled to capacity.

The Chorale Ensemble began the concert with Maurice Durufle's a cappella Quatre Motets. This was followed by Michel-Richard de La Lande's De Profundis, a composition created for the funeral of Louis XIV in 1715.
