VIBE TRIBE
The Vibe Tribe is an unlikely mixture of musical talents and instruments,
especially with Rick
Weingarten's innovative vibraphone playing. This six-piece band is
headed by Kristin
Anderson, a percussionist/drummer, who lives in Louisville and is in
charge of the entertainment
events at Macky Auditorium. Kristin has been on the BFJ Board handling
their publicity. She is also
the leader of the Crystal Swing Band that plays each year at the
Boulder Creek
Festival dance, and at many other civic events all year long.
YOUR FATHER'S MOUSTACHE JAZZ BAND
Your Father's Moustache Jazz Band was reorganized in 1974 and is led by
Joe Petrucelli
on the banjo. The group originated as a sing-along group in 1965 in a
club called Your Father's
Moustache in Denver. Today they play a unique razzmatazz style of New
Orleans Dixieland Jazz, as
well as tunes from the Gay 90's and Roarin' 20's. The band plays at many
West Coast festivals from
Oregon to Pismo Beach, from Sacramento to Monterey, and from Redding to
Santa Cruz. You can
also catch them at one of the Denver Jazz Club's monthly concerts and at
the Bull and Bush
in Glendale.
