Jon Wiegardt - Trombone

Jon is a retired instrumental teacher. He directed Jazz Bands at: Englewood High School ('59 - '67); CU Boulder ('67 - '72); Metropolitan state College ('72 - '80); Cherry Creek High School ('80 - '88). As an arranger he has written and performed for Dean Bushnell, Gordon Dooley, Steve Halpin, the Denver Bronco Band and the National Western Stock Show bands and orchestras. As a performer he was with the Queen City Jazz Band ('80 - '85) and with many Broadway road shows, including Bob Hope, Mel Torme and Dizzy Gillespie. Jon is a native Denverite. He attended East High School, University of Northern Colorado at Greeley and CU at Boulder.
