Sub-teams
Sub-teams are the components of the Steering Committee that split up the tasks required to hold Mock Disaster 1999. (some people think of them as--ick--sub-committees).
Here is a list of the sub-teams and their function. Every sub-team needs members!
Site (Jesse Cain chair):
The site sub-team is responsible for ensuring that the site is prepared for the event. They handle parking coordination, staging area selection and setup of the area.
Communication (Desperately seeking chair):
The communication sub-team is responsible for pre-event communication (such as this web page). They will handle mass-mailings, and the information packet that will be sent out in January.
Logistics (Also seeking chair):
The logistics sub-team is responsible for pre-event gathering of materials like radios and vehicles, and food.
Officiating (Bryan Bennett chair):
The officiating sub-team is responsible for recording all rules and regulations set up by the Steering Committee. They will distribute these rules to all participants and train the judges.
Training (James Barron chair):
The training sub-team is responsible for coordinating all the training of all agencies and ensuring that the officiating team is in contact with everyone who does training. They are additionally responsible for training the "extras" like victims and hostages.
Finance (no members at this time):
The finance sub-team is responsible for developing the budget and paying the bills. This is a really important team, and we need membership!
New participation is always welcome. Either e-mail the chair to find out more information or just come to the next steering committee meeting and volunteer.
