Y2K Community Presentation Saturday February 20th, 1999
Start time: 1:15 pm
at the ALTONA GRANGE
39TH AND NELSON RD
Don’t SKIP reading this, just because it has Y2K in the heading!! The Y2K issue has garnered a lot of interest because it is not really known what will potentially happen with the ability of businesses such as banks, gas/electric companies, grocery stores, etc. to service their customers. So the Table Mountain Association is hosting a community meeting that will provide awareness about the potential impact of the problem on rural areas and what we can do individually or collectively to deal with it. Ron Carey, General Manager of the Poudre Valley REA will be on hand to talk about power distribution in our area as well as answer any questions that you may have. The second speaker, Kathy Garcia, is from the Boulder County Y2K Community Preparedness Group. She is a neighborhood organizer who has done multiple presentations in Boulder county. Handouts will be provided at the meeting on the newest updates on community, government and business issues, as well as preparedness (a small donation to cover the cost will be requested). Please RSVP to Cathy Lecce-Chong ASAP, 303-546-0591, so we can produce an adequate number of handouts for the meeting. And come with your questions!
