The Career Development Center's program in Radio and Televisin Broadcasting consists of two years of training.
Specific assignments are designed to acquaint secondary and post-secondary students with the skills needed to work in the radio and television broadcasing field
The production and performance skills developed are also applicable to many related occupations.
Students do not just "practice" assignments -- they actually gain program production experience on the Longmont Cable, Channel 3, and learn how to operated KCDC, FM 90.7.
Students learn by doing and find out firt-hand what skills they have and what they enjoy doing most.

The Radio/TV program is open to all high school students in 10th, 11th and 12th grades and to post-secondary students who are interested in specific career training.
No required courses are needed prior to entering the program. Those students who tend to be most successful possess some speaking experience and have good basic reading and writing skills.
