The team from Summit Middle Charter School won first place at the State MATHCOUNTS Competition and Southern Hills Middle School placed fourth. In the individual competition, Chris Guthrie from Summit Middle Charter School, placed second and will compete with the Colorado MATHCOUNTS Team. Other top scoring individuals were Alexander Black, of Summit Middle, sixth place; Ben Alpert, of Summit Middle, 10th place; Charles Xu, of Summit Middle, 13th place; Nicolas Ledru, of Southern Hills Middle, 21st place; Colt Van Eaton, of Westview Middle, 22nd place; Cissy Chen, of Eldorado K-8, 24th place; Nigel Robbins, of Louisville Middle, 26th place; and Eric Eisenberg, of Southern Hills Middle, 33rd place. |
