- The Boulder Community Network is accepting applications for positions in the office of Volunteer Coordination.
- There are three positions that make up the office of Volunteer Coordinator. These are
The Volunteer Coordination office seeks a person to take on the role of Volunteer Recruiter. This position entails:
- Handling the Intake of New Volunteers.
- Promoting BCN to the Volunteer Market.
- Recruiting Volunteers with specialized skills specific positions.
- Participation in Outreach Activities, such as job fairs and community events.
- Coordinating Volunteer Orientations.
- Upkeep of the BCN Volunteer Database.
- Primary Management of the BCN Volunteers List-Server.
With the exception of Volunteer Orientations, all of this work is done on-line, and remotely. Volunteer Orientations will be led and assisted by other BCN members, and by the Volunteer Recruiter.
Proficiency with email; newsgroups; and list-servers is desired.
The Volunteer Coordination office seeks a person to take on the role of Volunteer Manager. This position entails:
- Working with the Client Manager and Executive Director to inform BCN Members of Volunteer Opportunities.
- Post Volunteer Opportunities on the BCN web server and BCN Volunteer list-server.
- Coordinate BCN Member matching with BCN clients.
- Tracking time worked by Volunteers for BCN Board review.
- Upkeep of the BCN Volunteer Database.
- Partial Management of the BCN Volunteers List-Server.
- Making contact with Clients to insure satisfaction with Volunteer Performance.
- Reporting monthly to the Board of Directors.
All of this work is done on-line, and remotely.
Proficiency with email; list-servers; HTML editing; and report writing is desired.
The Volunteer Coordination office seeks a person to take on the role of Client Manager. This position entails:
- Working with the Executive Director to inform BCN Clients of BCN Services and Volunteer Availability.
- Participation in Outreach Activities, such as community events.
- Communicating with the Volunteer Manager to concerning Client needs for Assistance.
- Visiting with BCN Clients and potential Clients.
- Upkeep of the BCN Client Database.
- Helping to Assess Technology benefits for Clients with a BCN team.
- Keeping in contact with Clients to insure objectives are being achieved.
- Primary Management of the BCN Client List-Server.
- Reporting monthly to the Board of Directors.
With the exception of visits to Client locations and Outreach Activities, the majority of this work can be done on-line, and remotely.
Proficiency with client relations; public presentation; email; newsgroups; and list-servers is desired.
