About BCWI

Our mission is to protect and enhance the health of the Boulder Creek watershed by community based stewardship through education, information and action.

photo of Barker Reservoir BCWI, a non-profit organization, was founded in 1997 for the following purposes:

  • Educate the community on issues surrounding their watershed,
  • Increase the opportunities for community involvement in monitoring and protecting their watershed,
  • Increase awareness and communication between disparate cities,agencies, communities, and schools in the watershed,
  • Conduct educational seminars, public forums, and distribute newsletters to help the community understand and participate in watershed management decisions.
