 The Explorer Mock Disaster Steering Committee Meeting will meet at 7 PM at the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department on Friday, February 27th at 7PM. Steering Committee Command Staff Chair Steve Redfearn has asked that all Explorers who want to organize and plan this event, please be present at this and future meetings. The main scenario of the event was developed at the first meeting on Jan. 30th, and will be very creative and exciting. This year, the details of the event will be kept secret so the responding Explorers will have a much greater challenge in dealing with the scenario as it unfolds. Your help is needed to make this the best Explorer Mock Disaster ever. To get to the Sheriff's Dept., get on West Sixth Avenue until you reach the Jefferson County Courts/Sheriff/Jail complex (a.k.a. the "Taj Mahal") just south of Golden and north of the I70 interchange with sixth Avenue. The meeting will be held in the conference room on the second level. Park in the lower jail parking lot and walk up the stairs to the first door. The meeting is just inside. Future meetings will be held on alternate Fridays until April, then every Friday until the event.
