County No Drive Day"- September 13, 2000
Boulder County Clean Air Consortium is organizing a county-wide "No Pollute
Commute Day". On Sept. 13th we are asking residents and employees of
Boulder County to leave their cars at home and do their traveling by
alternative means. Between now and the then, we are seeking pledges from
individuals, companies, schools, and government agencies to support the effort
by promising to take buses, ride bikes, walk, car pool, telecommute, drive and
alternative fuel vehicle, or some other form of mobility to help reduce air
pollution. All pledges will be entered into a prize drawing for great prizes
relating to alternative transportation!

Annual High
Pollution Season Kick Off Breakfast - November 2000
"Business Breakfast for Better Air" Boulder County Clean Air
Consortium will host their annual Business Breakfast for Better Air in November
(date to be determined). The breakfast will kick off the annual High Pollution
Season by bringing together businesses and representatives of local and
regional programs to exchange expertise and experience about strategies to
protect air quality. Specific information will be presented on ways businesses
can reduce their emissions, prevent pollution and encourage alternative
transportation while improving their bottom line. Last year 70 organizations
attended the breakfast and left with valuable information. This year we hope to
encourage many more to join us in taking action to improve our air!
