If you subscribe to the emailed GPS status report, here is the introduction to the posting and how to stop the service -
Sending mail to the list ======================== The GPS Status List does not allow Posts by list members. -------------------------------------------------------------- Leaving the list ================ To stop receiving messages from GpsStatus you will need to send a message to the list manager called "nisws@smtp.navcen.uscg.mil" with a request to remove you from the list. The list manager controls who belongs to the list. For example: -------------------------------------------------------------- From: Brian DorricottTo: nisws@smtp.navcen.uscg.mil Subject: Request to leave the GPS Status list leave GpsStatus -------------------------------------------------------------- If you receive a message saying you are not a member but you are still getting messages, you could be subscribed as a different email address. In one of the errant messages, check for the "X-ListMember:" clause in the header of the message. It will have the form: X-listMember: brian@abc.co.uk [GpsStatus@nislist.navcen.uscg.mil] which means that this message was from the list called "GpsStatus" and sent to the email address "brian@abc.co.uk". You can now leave the list by sending the message: -------------------------------------------------------------- From: Brian Dorricott To: nisws@smtp.navcen.uscg.mil Subject: Request to leave the GPS Status list leave GpsStatus brian@abc.co.uk -------------------------------------------------------------- Requesting digests ================== The GPS Status List does not support digests. Where to report problems ======================== Should you still have any problems or questions, please email nisws@smtp.navcen.uscg.mil who will be happy to help.
This is a one-time mailed report when you first subscribe; it is posted here just in case you misplace your copy!
