Enrollment is open to students studying violin, viola, cello, piano, and harp with a Suzuki teacher using the Suzuki Method. Students are expected to come prepared with memorized repertoire (see website). PPSI is designed to be a family experience and parents should attend classes with their child and help them prepare for each days assignment. Each student’s registration admits an accompanying adult, free of charge, to all student and parent activities( unless otherwise specified).
Pre-Twinkle: For beginning students who do not yet play all of the twinkle variations fluently. Tuition includes 3 classes; a master class, a group class and Dalcroze Eurhythmics.
Twinkle and above: Tuition includes 5 classes.
- For string instruments this includes a master class, a repertoire class, a technique class (if appropriate), a theory class (dalcroze or music mind game) and 1 or 2 enrichments.
- For piano students, a master class, a group class, a theory class (dalcroze or music mind games,) and 2 enrichments classes.
- For harp students, a master class, a repertoire class, a technique class,(if appropriate), a theory class specifically for harp and 1 enrichment.
All students will perform in a final concert at the end of the week. Daily repertoire classes will prepare pieces for this concert as well as individual ensemble groups. All piano students will perform in a solo recital. Concert dress is black bottom and white top for string students and dress clothes for all other instruments.
