Frank Leitz

Western Co-Associate Advisor

I'm Frank Leitz.  My wife, Virginia, has had to patience to put up with me for 43 years.  We have three sons: Edward, 38, Karl, 36, and Frank III, 34.  We live in Evergreen, Colorado, at an elevation of 7600 feet.  I lived a year and a half in Korea and three years in Saudi Arabia.  Thailand will be the 49th country on my life list.  I am a Chemical Engineer, working for the Bureau of Reclamation in water treatment.  Notched on my belt are about sixty technical publications and four patents.  Spare time activities include hiking, camping, enjoying classical music and collecting Scouting memorabilia.  Carried into adult Scouting by my boys, I have filled a variety of positions.  Currently, I am Venturing Roundtable Commissioner for Timberline district in Denver Area Council.  I attended world jamborees in Canada, 1983, as Assistant Scoutmaster; Netherlands, 1995, as Scoutmaster; and Chile, 1997-8, as member of International Service Team working in the Global Development Village.  That's where this picture was taken.  My goal for the XX Jamboree is to see that Crew 15/45 has the most enjoyable and productive experience possible.
