City of Boulder/USGS Water Quality Monitoring
Boulder Creek Millennium Baseline Study Sampling Locations

BASIN, the U.S. Geological Survey, and the City of Boulder are providing a new in-depth analysis of Boulder Creek water quality. High-flow (June) and low-flow (October) water quality sampling of Boulder Creek from upstream of the town of Eldora to the confluence with the St. Vrain River are being carried out to determine natural and human influences on water chemistry and to provide a baseline data set for evaluating future water quality impacts. This study will cover conventional wate rquality parameters as well as focusing on pesticides and heavy metals in the creek.
