  • Schools, Neighborhoods and Stream Teams.
One of the goals of the BASIN project is to help foster community activities and dialogue, especially about water-related issues. To find out more about how your school or neighborhood group can become involved with local Stream Teams and other community projects, contact Mark McCaffrey, the BASIN Communications Coordinator at (303) 449-3955
  • Complete the BASIN Survey. Perhaps you don't have the time to volunteer on the BASIN BCN team. Once you've had a chance to look over the materials in the BASIN website, take a moment to complete the online survey, which will help us determine what works and what doesn't work, what is relevant and what is not. We also have an online survey for organizations involved with water and other aspects of the environment.

There are many ways you can become involved with the Boulder Area Sustainability Information Network. Here are just a few of the ways:

  • As a BASIN Boulder Community Network (BCN) Volunteer. If you are interested in becoming part of the BCN BASIN development team and have computer skills such as graphic design, webpage development, scripting or video/audio streaming.... or if you'd like to learn more about these skills...contact Jim Waterman, BASIN Project Coordinator.

BCN Volunteers have already put in over 1000 hours in providing ideas, feedback and designing the BASIN website!

You can get an idea of the help the BASIN project needs from BCN volunteers by reviewing the BASIN online classified ads. Or bring us your ideals !

  • Join the BASIN Forum. Do you have ideas or information about local environmental and social concerns that relate to community liveability and sustainability? Our online forum offers you a chance to share with others your thoughts and insights into the complex-- and sometimes controversial-- issues facing our community.

INVITATION BASIN is a community project actively seeking public participation. We appreciate all feedback and welcome comments, suggestions and contributions. To find out more about how you can be involved, click here. Help BASIN serve your needs, take our "10 questions in 10 seconds" survey.

BASIN is supported by the US EPA, the City of Boulder, the Keep it Clean Partnership, BCWI and BCN
